ALBANY -- The lead lawyer in the state Attorney General Office’s fraud lawsuit against Wall Street titan Maurice “Hank” Greenberg caught a free ride on Greenberg’s private plane — possibly in violation of state ethics law, the Daily News has learned.
Assistant Attorney General David Ellenhorn in 2009 traveled by commercial plane to Omaha, Neb., to take a deposition in the case from billionaire Warren Buffet, sources familiar with the litigation said.
When the deposition ended, and Ellenhorn complained he had to wait hours for a flight home, Greenberg’s lawyer offered a ride on Greenberg’s private plane — and Ellenhorn accepted, one source said.
