Little Girl Surprises Deaf Parents With Adorable ASL Holiday Medley

Holiday music has never looked better, thanks to this preciously adorable little girl.
Claire Koch, a five-year-old from Clearwater, Fl., performed in her school's Christmas pageant, and since both her parents are deaf, she surprised them by translating the songs into American Sign Language during the entire medley. Claire's enthusiastic sign language and singing were a true showstopper, outshining her classmates' dance moves.

Claire's mom, Lori Koch, posted the video to YouTube Monday and it's quickly going viral, accumulating a half million views by time of publishing. Koch told Yahoo News that her daughter has been exposed to ASL since birth and it is her first language.

Prankster Brings Snow to the Desert for a Kiss

Snow in the Arizona desert? It sounds like a far-fetched Christmas miracle.
But with the help of a few crew members, YouTube prankster Stuart Edge managed to make it happen, and earned a few kisses in the process.


Edge and and his friend Christian surveyed men and women on the Arizona State University campus about the holidays. The school is located in Tempe, where the average temperature high for December is 68 degrees and snow is extremely unlikely. So when the two asked participants if they would kiss someone in the snow, many said yes. That's when a few behind-the-scenes crew members turned on the hidden snow machine and lowered a sprig of mistletoe on a string.
The surprised reactions from the unsuspecting men and women are priceless, and even led to a few quick kisses for Edge and Christian. The clip is a sequel to Edge's enormously popular mistletoe prank video, which stands at more than 24 million views. If you haven't already watched it, check it out below.

WestJet Christmas Surprise Will Make You Believe in Santa

Airports are perhaps the least jolly of locales during the holiday season, generally filled with disgruntled people facing delays, lost luggage and other mishaps. But, thanks to WestJet, one gaggle of weary travelers was treated to a Christmas miracle that turned an airport into Santa's workshop.
The Canadian airline, with the help of a virtual and tech-savvy Santa Claus, learned what passengers at the Toronto and Hamilton International Airports — who were waiting to board flights to Calgary — had on their Christmas wishlists this year. Once everyone boarded their planes, the WestJet team also took off — on shopping sprees, that is.

How to Track Santa Online

The more than 150 WestJet employees played the part of Santa's elves, gathering personalized presents, wrapping them and delivering them to the Calgary airport before the unsuspecting recipients landed. Upon arrival, the travelers received nothing short of a holiday miracle at baggage claim.
The entire event was captured via hidden cameras and turned into an ad mimicking the poem commonly known as The Night Before Christmas.
This wasn't WestJet's first foray into spreading airport Christmas cheer. Last year, the airline created a Christmas-themed flash mob, complete with dancing elves, in the middle of an airport. The video received almost a half million views, leading the airline to donate flights to a family in need through their community investment program.
This year, WestJet will donate flights if the video receives at least 200,000 YouTube views.

Plummeting Sheets of Ice Damage Cars in Texas

In the aftermath of a bitter ice storm, rising temperatures in North Texas have had a dangerous side effect.
This YouTube clip from Nicole Jaime shows ice falling from the roof of a Plano, Texas apartment complex, damaging parked cars below. Fortunately, the sidewalks were empty when the 2-inch wide chunks fell, and cars were the only causalities.

Jaime's video isn't the only one to show this damaging side effect in action. The clip below from YouTube user juhi2445 captures ice falling from a different apartment complex in the same Dallas suburb, plummeting to the ground and covering parked cars.

The Plano Texas Police Department is warning residents to be cautious while walking near tall buildings and parking their cars.
But some Dallas residents — hopefully in areas where falling ice is less of a threat — are making the most of these conditions, heading out into the cold for some winter fun.
